Annual Community Telethon Fundraiser
Dear Community Partner,
Thank you so much for contributing to the 46th Annual Community Telethon – 2025. It was a great success — we raised a total of $85,292!
Be prepared for the upcoming 2026 Grant Application Round, which will begin on January 1, 2026, and conclude on January 30, 2026.
Kitimat Community Foundation (KCF) will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on December 2nd at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Corner Room.

As a valued community partner, we’d love to see you there! The purpose of this event is to highlight the Foundation’s accomplishments from July 2024 to June 2025 and to discuss future plans. We truly appreciate your involvement and contributions to the conversation. Please feel free to invite any community member who may be interested in joining our Board. The Annual Community Telethon (ACT - formerly Aluminum City Telethon) has supported our community since 1979 and has granted thousands of dollars to support local organizations and programs.
The Kitimat Community Foundation was officially formed on January 19, 2011, when we moved the Annual Community Telethon Society to become a Community Foundation.
We have expanded our abilities to support our community by moving to a Community Foundation AND we can also access matching trust funds of $50,000.00 from Northern Development Initiative Trust for our foundation.
The Annual Community Telethon (ACT) continues each year in October as the main fundraising source for the Kitimat Community Foundation, which enables continued support of immediate needs in the community while building long-term stability funds for the future.
The foundation of my community starts with you and me.

2025 Annual Community Telethon Details
Sunday, October 19, 2025
Noon to 8 pm at Mount Elizabeth Theatre

Our local telethon accepts donations from the community, to support our vital community groups. Whether you are an individual or a business, this is an opportunity to donate and show your support for our community services
